Nordic Molecular Candle Holder

Room aesthetic: Mid Century Modern, Atomic Age, Minimalist

Stacked metal spheres holding a taper at an angle you don't expect, which is exactly the atomic-age silhouette that mid century modern design ran on. It's polished stainless steel, so it throws light back into the room. Comes single or as a set of three, in silver, gold, or black.

Why You'll Love It

• This is mid century modern decor in miniature. The molecular shape comes straight out of atomic-era design, so it sits right in a mid century modern room without costing what a real vintage piece would.
• Style it with warm wood and a low profile. Walnut, teak, or any warm wood surface is the classic pairing here; put it on a credenza or low shelf and the metal reads warmer against the grain.
• Three of them build a whole centerpiece. Buy the set and you're getting staggered heights that look arranged without any effort on your part.
• Silver, gold, or black, and they behave differently. Silver leans Scandinavian, gold pulls it toward seventies warmth, and black's the one for a room that's already neutral.
• Stainless steel, so it stays put. It's heavier than the thin metal holders that tip the second you bump the table, and wax peels straight off the surface.
